The Little Mouse Who Wanted to Fly
Once upon a time, there was a little mouse named Max who dreamed of flying. He used to watch the birds soaring through the sky and wished he could join them. But every time he tried to jump from a high place, he would fall down and scurry away in embarrassment.
One day, Max met a wise old owl who had lived in the forest for many years. The owl noticed how sad Max was and asked him what was troubling him. Max explained his dream of flying and how he could never seem to achieve it.
The owl thought for a moment and then said to Max, “You may not have wings like the birds, but you have something even better – determination and intelligence. If you can’t fly like them, you can surely build something that will help you fly.”
Max was intrigued by this idea and asked the owl for more advice. The owl told him about how some animals in the forest had built their own flying devices using branches, leaves, and feathers. Max was excited at the prospect of building his own flying device and set off on a mission to collect everything he needed.
He spent several days gathering sticks, leaves, feathers, and other materials to build his flying machine. He worked tirelessly, going back and forth to find just the right combination of materials until finally, he had created something that resembled a small glider.
Max was so thrilled with his creation that he couldn’t wait to try it out. He climbed to the top of a tall tree and launched himself into the air. To his amazement, the glider worked perfectly, and he soared through the sky, feeling the wind rush past him.
As he made his way back to the ground, Max realized that he had accomplished his dream of flying, thanks to the wisdom of his friend, the owl. From that day on, Max spent every afternoon gliding through the forest, feeling free and alive.
And even though he had never grown wings like the birds, Max knew that his determination and intelligence had helped him achieve something just as great – the ability to fly.
