創新與機遇之地：Grayslake數據中心園區建設工程展開
Grayslake村內一個近年來湖縣最大型的經濟發展項目正式啟動，當地官員表示這是村莊長遠經濟增長的重要一步。

項目時間表將視市場需求調整，首批電力預計於2027年6月供應，整個園區建設預計於未來七至十年內完成。
根據Davies向居民的最新通告，該項目將為Grayslake帶來「大量高價值物業」，並惠及當地學校、公園及消防區。雖然具體的稅收貢獻數字尚未公布，但村方強調增加非住宅稅基的必要性。

T5高級副總裁兼租賃主管David Horowitz表示，公司掌控Cornerstone商業園區超過490英畝可開發土地，橫跨Peterson路兩側，地理位置優越，適合建設先進的雲端和AI數據中心。
Horowitz說：「我們計劃將整個園區發展成一個數據中心生態系統。」
T5計劃為客戶提供高達1.2吉瓦（GW）的電力。美國能源部解釋，一吉瓦相當於十億瓦特，約等同一億個LED燈泡或188萬塊太陽能光伏板的功率。項目將根據客戶需求靈活調整建築數量和配置，並可按每12兆瓦（1200萬瓦）增量擴展。
為確保電力供應，T5與ComEd合作取得1.5吉瓦電力，成為區域內電力供應領先者。現場將設有ComEd的主要輸電變電站，並由三個T5專用變電站切換場支援。ComEd發言人Lauren Huffman表示，該變電站未來亦可服務區內其他大型項目。
Horowitz透露，電力採購工作已進行18個月，讓T5能夠提前應對ComEd及全國各地公用事業在電力分配及採購流程上的重大變革。
數據中心對冷卻設備有龐大的電力及用水需求。Davies強調，該合作安排能保障T5的電力穩定供應，且不會影響Grayslake的電力容量及服務。
Huffman表示，大型項目的升級成本主要由同類規模的商業用戶承擔，住宅用戶不包括在內。所有ComEd的費率均受伊利諾伊州商務委員會監管，並反映電網運營成本。
Horowitz指出，T5設計採用空氣冷卻機械系統，大幅減少用水量。Davies補充，該系統的用水量將遠低於傳統辦公樓。
